When I was a kid, I was always banging on the desk in school and humming songs around the house. There were always parody songs, wordplay and jokes. I think that kept music as fun as much as it was emotional and serious. It’s therapy.
Wearing multiple hats in different disciplines is a normal day in the life for me. But no matter where I am, there is always a spark inside. I constantly have new ideas and things knocking around in my head.
I’ve often wondered where I’d be if I had spent all my time focused on one instrument, one discipline. You know, maybe I’d be really great at just one thing. However, I think it is precisely my curiosity and jack of all trades approach that make me a valuable player.
